- Soak in the Katherine Hot Springs (May – October)
Float your cares away in the healing thermal waters of the Katherine Hot Springs – a perfect way to unwind and reconnect with nature.

 

 - Visit Leliyn / Edith Falls (November – April)
Take a photo of the falls and lake or a refreshing dip (seasonal swimming), surrounded by dramatic cliffs and native bushland.

Cruise Through Time on the Iconic Nitmiluk Gorge
Your day begins with the highlight of the tour – a serene, 2-hour Nitmiluk Gorge Cruise through the first two and longest gorges of the mighty Katherine River. Surrounded by towering sandstone cliffs and vibrant greenery, you’ll be guided by local Indigenous River Guides, who share captivating stories of culture, history, flora, and fauna as you gently glide through ancient landscapes.

Walk Through History
Disembark for a short 400m crossover walk to the second gorge — a journey that brings you even closer to the spiritual and natural beauty of this sacred land. Be on the lookout for freshwater crocodiles basking on the riverbanks as you take in the awe-inspiring scenery.

Optional Lookout Walk & Cultural Discovery
After the cruise, choose to join an optional lookout walk for panoramic views of Nitmiluk. Enjoy lunch at the local café, then explore the Visitor Information Centre and Aboriginal Art Gallery, where ancient stories come to life through vibrant artwork.

Soak & Relax at Katherine Hot Springs (May–October)
Unwind in the crystal-clear natural thermal springs of Katherine — a true oasis of healing waters, swimming tunnels, and mineral-rich pools.
Or (Nov–April), take a photo of Leliyn (Edith Falls) or dive into the refreshing waters (seasonal swimming), where you can swim and snorkel beneath a scenic waterfall in a pristine freshwater pool.

Additional Information:

 

Accessibility: The boat cruise has uneven natural rock surfaces that need to be walked over (without hand rails in some places) to commute between the two gorges. People with mobility issues might not be suitable for this tour, please contact Sacred Owl Tours with your specific needs.
