Once you arrive, take some free time to explore the park: relax with lunch at the local café, hike to the lookout for stunning panoramic views, or wander along the tranquil riverfront.

In the afternoon, embark on the highlight of your journey: the 2pm Nitmiluk 2 Gorge Cruise. Glide through the crystal-clear waters of Katherine Gorge, surrounded by towering sandstone cliffs and lush greenery. This guided boat tour takes you through the first two and longest gorges, with the expertise of local River Guides who share fascinating insights about Indigenous culture, the region’s history, flora, fauna, and more.

Along the way, disembark for a 400m walk to the second gorge, where you’ll feel the magic of this ancient landscape. TRAVEL NOTES:

• We kindly request that all guests be at the boat ramp at least 20 minutes prior to tour departure time.

• There is a walk of 400m between the gorges. This is made up of stairs (with handrails) and uneven surfaces. It is advisable to wear comfortable footwear that are suitable for walking at the crossover area.

• This tour is not suitable for guests with mobility issues.

• Drinking water and toilet facilities are available on board.

• Tour subject to river levels (particularly during Dec – Mar)

SEASONAL AMENDMENTS:

During the Tropical Summer months (Dec - Mar), Tour structures may be required to accommodate fluctuating river conditions. Depending on river levels, the Tour could change to a One Gorge Tour, which may include swimming. Some alterations may include swim opportunities or additional walking over un-even surfaces.

- 1.5L re-fillable water bottle
- Camera, Hat, Sunglasses
- Insect Repellent & Sunscreen
- Travel pillow to rest on the way to and from Kakadu. 
- Guests are required to bring their own medication. 
- A Jumper for the cooler months (May to August)
