Chasing Waterfalls & Aboriginal Culture Tour

Join us on an adventure, as we explore the crystal clear creeks, lakes and waterfalls of Far North Queensland and meet with the local Aboriginal tribe.

Our day starts with an enjoyable drive south of Cairns to meet the indigenous tribe, for an easy 45-minute walk of the indigenous native fruit plantation, listening to the dreamtime stories, the evolution of the landscape and the cultural heritage of the indigenous tribes over the last 60,000 years.

After a digeridoo demonstration and a look at the spears and hunting tools we head off to enjoy a delicious lunch at a fantastic restaurant.

After lunch we have a float in the cool, clear waters of ‘Babinda Boulders' a stunning swimming hole, a magnificent serene environment surrounded by lush and vibrant rain forest, it is home to an abundance of bird-life and natural beauty.

The area is made up of fast flowing creeks that weave through huge granite boulders, creating a unique landscape that cannot be found anywhere else.

After time exploring the swimming area, we embark on a short rain forest walk to two incredible lookouts, on your walk you will  learn about the famous Yindinji Indigenous Legend that gave these beautiful pools their eerie name.

Next we are off to to Josephine Falls ! this national park has natural rock slides, - enjoy sliding down the waterfalls at the incredible natural water park. *Please note you must be a confident swimmer to swim in the waterfall area, beginner swimmers can paddle in the water and creek.
